Personal and Professional Development: CliftonStrengths-based Coaching Services

Letter from Marsha.png

We’re just a little past the halfway mark of this year and I wanted to check-in. As we start to emerge from the pandemic, my mind has been on personal and professional development.

Professional development is incredibly important for employee engagement so of course it impacts teams and organizations as well, and I’m no exception. For me, my professional development has looked like a new certification in Co-Active Coaching from the Co-Active Training Institution, a journey I embarked on 18 months ago. Along the way, I’ve met fellow coaches who have inspired me and learned tools and techniques that have made me an even stronger coach.

From CTI, “Co-Active is the philosophy of wholeness that provides a framework for people to experience the infinite possibilities of life.” What does that mean for my clients? While I have always taken a multidimensional approach to my work and today, I’m excited to engage this new facet of my training. As a CTI-certified Co-Active Coach, I build upon the insight and understanding CliftonStrengths provides while bringing a values-focused approach to the conversation. We do our best work and are our happiest selves when we operate from a place that’s authentic and in-line with our value system.

If you’ve worked with me in the past or follow along with this newsletter, you’re familiar with my services but for newcomers or those interested in reengaging in coaching or starting for the first time, below you’ll find an overview of my core services and you can always learn more on my website.

Clifton Strengths

Everything I do is informed by my certification and experience as a Gallup-certified CliftonStrengths coach. I use the results from the CliftonStrengths Assessment to provide the foundation for my work with each client. The information about each person’s unique skills and talents helps us to identify and cultivate the strengths that help my clients reach their professional development goals. They are also insights that you will carry with you from job to job, and into every aspect of your personal life, making this one of the most lasting and powerful things you can do for your personal and professional development.

Advancement through Personal Coaching

Personal coaching is a powerful investment in oneself and can be a gamechanger for both personal and professional lives. I design my personal coaching engagements to help individuals do and be their best selves through easy-to-use, evergreen tools that apply Strengths to every facet of work life. What is your why? How do your values shape how you approach your work? These are the kinds of questions I dive into that ensure every session leaves clients with a greater understanding of themselves and an action plan to begin their transformation.

Affinity Through Team Building

When teams operate cohesively, they’ll be successful and happy in their work and the most effective teams are open with one another, selfless, and willing to make sacrifices for the collective good of the organization. Using the findings from everyone’s personal CliftonStrengths report, I engage team members in direct conversations with each other, giving them the confidence to reveal their strengths and express their differences. Ongoing check-ins and quarterly refreshers ensure that new habits are solidified as a standard mode of operations. The teams I help always leave with a greater level of self-awareness, a sense of pride over their unique personal Strengths, and the tools to continue to grow and stand out in the workplace and beyond.

We are all always moving along our journeys whether that’s personally or professionally. As I work with clients to reach their goals, it’s important to me that I strive to push my development as well. I’m excited to incorporate Co-Active into all the work that I do and thank you for your continued support.

And remember if you need anything, I’m just a phone call away.
